Global Spectrum is pleased to announce the election of Linda Beecher, Conference Center Sales Manager, to the position of Vice President of Membership with Meeting Professionals International – Washington State Chapter for 2012-2013.  As volunteer Vice President of Membership, Beecher will be responsible for the management of chapter programs, services and resources for member recruitment, retention, involvement and recognition.

Linda Beecher has held the Sales Manager position at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center in Everett for nearly two years, where she contributes to the economic impact for the Everett Public Facilities District and downtown Everett overall.  Prior to this position, she was the Group Sales and Media Relations Manager for the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau for two years, and Director of Sales for Marriott TownePlace Suites Seattle/North for five years.  Beecher currently serves as President of the Everett Central Lions Club, making a difference for people with sight and hearing impairments.  In this role, she has co-chaired the Lions Club’s Annual Fishing Derby for the Blind for 12 years.
